"በዚያች አነስተኛ ከተማ ወጣቶች (ዱርዬዎች) በዘሩ ምክንያት ረብሻ በተነሳ ቁጥር ያሽቆጠቁጡት ጀመር። ወደ ትልቁ የክልሉ ከተማ ሸሽቶ ከርሞ ይመጣል። አሁን በግልጽ ባይሆንም ደበቅ እያለ በዚያች ከተማ በስጋት ይኖራል።"
"In that small town the youth target him whenever there was chaos. As a result, he moved to the nearby big town. He comes back when things calm down. At this time he is living by hiding himself."
"የክልሉ ሰዎች ሙሉ በሙሉ መጤ ጠልነት ስለሌለባቸው የአንዱ ከተማ የእግርኳስ ቡድን የከተማችንን ተጨዋቾች ሊደበድቡ ሲሉ የነሱው ቋንቋ ተናጋሪዎች የሌላው ከተማ ሰዎች አዳኗቸው። እነዚያንም ሰደቡ።"
"As it was not all the members of the ethnic group who are xenophobic, when members of one town's football club were about to attack our team, those from the other town but the same ethnic group defended us. They also insulted the attackers."
"ዱሮ ያክመን የነበረው የከተማችን ሥራ ፈጣሪ ሐኪም ንብረት የነበረው ሠው ሐኪም ቤት የፍየል መዋያ ሆኗል። አሣዘነኝ። በዘሩ ምክንያት አሳደውት ጠፍቶ ነው።"
"The clinic owned by the health practitioner who treated us has become a resting place for goats. He flew because they persecuted him for his ethnicity. I felt sorry."
"እናንተ እንደፈለጋችሁ አድርጉኝ እንጂ ከዚህ አልሄድም አለ። ተንበርክኮ ለመናቸው። ቤተክርስቲያን ረጂ ነኝ። ክፉ አላደረኩም አለ። በኋላ በህመም ሲሞት ካገሩ መጥተው አስከሬኑን ዘመዶቹ ሲወስዱት ለምን እንደዚህ አደረጉ ብዬ ገረመኝ።"
"Treat me as you like. I will not go anywhere," said the man and begged them kneeling down. He said he helped churches and did nothing to harm them. I felt confused when his relatives took his corpse to where he was born when he died of natural cause."
